The United States Twirling Association (USTA) held their 50th Anniversary gathering this past July in Daytona Beach, Florida. In honor of this anniversary event, Fred & Marlene Miller assembled a group of Blackhawk veterans for a very special exhibition performance.

With a short amount of rehearsal time, the Blackhawks were able to pull off the kind of wonderful performance that this legendary group was known for. After the initial performance, the crowd was so taken by the production, that calls for an encore were soon answered. The second time through the show proved to be an even better run than the first, which propelled the audience into another standing ovation!

With ages ranging from 48 to 71, and performers representing the first and last groups fielded as Miller's Blackhawks, it was certainly a wonderful trip down memory lane for everyone involved. "The whole event was just a fantastic experience." said
Fred & Marlene's daughter Mary Lynn Dorow. "It was wonderful to see so many old friends, and the crowd in Daytona Beach was just incredible to us."

"We just want to thank all of the Blackhawks who came out to perform in the exhibition." said Fred. "I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did."
